Description
Fast and effective heat without releasing dust
Due to the high output air and advanced PTC heating technology, the powerful high-speed heater TDS 30 M is ideal for quickly heating large, cold rooms.
Whether workshop, residential or work area – the combination of robust construction, solid workmanship and discreet design fits harmoniously into any environment and can be transported quickly and easily thanks to the heat-insulated carrying handle.
The desired temperature on the TDS 30 M can be adjusted infinitely and if necessary via the integrated thermostat. For more accurate heat, the heating effect can be increased in two levels up to 5 kW. The fan can also work without the heating function in terms of the fan.
The TDS 30 M heats with a powerful current, but instead of a conventional heating coil, a long-lasting PTC ceramic heating element is equipped with energy, which results in a homogeneous heat flow of air with a low noise level in direct comparison with the performance - the ceramic PTC register offers many other advantages:
PTC ceramic heating elements are more durable and robust than heaters or heating coils. In addition, PTC registers automatically regulate power consumption as a function of ambient temperature and are therefore automatically protected against overheating. For this reason, PTC registers do not need to be cooled by a powerful air supply, which allows for the installation of fans that work mostly more quietly.
In combination with a large heating surface, TDS M heaters create pleasantly homogeneous and sediment-free warm air. In addition, there is no dust dispersion with this technique, which means that the air in the room will not be damaged by additional dust - ideal for use in residential premises.
Safe operation of heating even in continuous operation is not a problem for the TDS 30 M: Overheating protection is integrated, and the fan motor is equipped with thermal protection and an automatic function after cooling, which means that the fan operates in a safe cooling mode after switching off the device. As an added safety feature, the integrated ceramic heating element also increases the stability of this fan.
Advantages in practice:

Fast air heating – even room temperature
Trotec heaters with PTC ceramic elements (A) are not only characterized by fast heating behavior compared to conventional heating technology (B). As a result of the method, there are also differences in the reaction behavior of the heating elements.
Although the thermostat regulation of both devices is carried out using a double-sided regulator to maintain the selected target temperature (orange), the corresponding temperature adjustments for devices with heating bandages are significantly slower and with larger deviations from the desired target temperature. The reason for this is the different current conductivities of the heating elements:
When electricity passes through the heating coils, they are always hot once heated. In order to regulate the desired room temperatures, the power supply is interrupted, which cools the spiral, and later it is reactivated by the thermostat, so that it is fully heated until the next shutdown at the desired temperature.
This "on-/off-process" results in significantly larger temperature changes than with ceramic heating elements, since they have integrated self-regulation of temperature. The hotter the PTC, the higher their resistance to current, with less current being able to pass through the heating element and the corresponding heat output, resulting in significantly less temperature changes and generally also less on/off in thermostat control.
For this reason, ceramic heaters can be used to produce even room temperatures as well as a more comfortable working environment.
